2020 is our year to OVERCOME! As most of the world is overcoming CoVID-19 and Quarantine, we are overcoming our own battles. As you may know, Samantha was in a horrible accident in August of last year. A Careflight helicopter took her from the scene of the accident to Medical City Plano. She was in the Trauma ICU for 6 weeks, at Children’s Dallas for 3 1/2 months, back and forth to Children’s and then in March of this year, she had surgery at UTSouthwestern where she was in the hospital for another 3 weeks with a few more in and outs.
Samantha’s accident, her recovery and her determination to get life back to normal have given us each a new perspective on life. We are holding on to our faith and the love, support and prayers of our family and friends. We are so thankful for each of you!
So, overcoming in 2020! Sam is overcoming her injuries and moving forward with her life! She is working out with Tim, her amazing trainer who is such a blessing! She is back on the volleyball court, having fun with friends and excited to be playing for Coach Ed! And she is encouraging Payton to move forward and follow her dreams. Payton has decided to change her major and pursue a degree in Child Life. Both of us have both been blessed with amazing Child Life Specialists during our hospital stays and Payton hopes as a Child Life Specialist, she will bless other families and remind kids that they can overcome anything!

New Request! So our new request!! (You had to know it was coming!!)
Though we will not be actively fundraising, we would love for our contributors to continue supporting Mary Bridge. Many of you have donated without us even asking the last couple of years! Any time you see a sick child, any time you drive by a hospital, any time you go to the doctor- we would like for you to remember how Mary Bridge helped my family, how Dr. Hall saved Payton's life and how the hospital continues to help so many. |
Take Action! Now, we would like for you to consider sending a donation to Mary Bridge or to any organization you feel is worthy of your contribution. Then we would like you to send us a snap chat, write on the website comments or however you get in touch with us and let us know that you are supporting other children like us!

Share! It is truly inspiring for us to hear when others donate their time and/or money to help someone they may not even know! Thank you for always supporting us! Whether it was through a monetary donation, a meal for our family, a note or just a hug when you see us- we honestly would not be where we are today without each of your support! Please keep us in your prayers and know you are always welcome to come for a visit!
